Justin Bieber lands gongs for Least Stylish and Worst Album at NME Awards as Kate Moss pitches up in leather dress

Bothered: Justin Bieber was busy getting lessons in the studio from Kanye West in Los Angeles as he won NME Awards for Worst Album and Least Stylish back in London

He's the world's most famous teenage singer - but Justin Bieber proved he wasn't popular with the readers of rock bible NME last night when they voted him winner of two 'worst of the year' gongs.

The Baby singer was blown two metaphorical raspberries by the magazine when he won the Worst Album and Least Stylish awards at the ceremony at London's Brixton Academy.

Unsurprisingly, he wasn't there to pick up his prizes, staying in the U.S. to appear on chatshows Ellen and The Talk - but there were plenty of other people there to take his place and party, not least supermodel Kate Moss.

Popping out: Kate Moss was wearing a floorlength black leather dominatrix-style dress as she headed off to the NME Awards with fiancé Jamie Hince, who carried beers for the journey

She had another busy day of it following her raucous night earlier this week, which started off at Number 10 Downing Street, ended up minus a dress, plus a kebab and with an added fracas on the side courtesy of fiancé Jamie Hince and some photographers.

Yesterday started in a similar fashion, with a London Fashion Week show at London's ultra exclusive restaurant and night spot Sketch, followed by dinner at celebs haunt The Wolseley, wearing an elegant biscuit-coloured trouser suit and matching hat.

Out and about: Earlier in the day, Kate had looked chic at a London Fashion Week show before heading to the Wolseley with Jamie and bandmate Alison Mosshart

However, the star popped home to change before heading to Brixton - and emerged dressed in a very rock and roll black floorlength dominatrix-style leather dress, accompanied by her intended, who took his own beer along for the journey, as you'd expect from the frontman of blue rock band The Kills.

Kate joined fellow fashion and music-obsessed females Alexa Chung, Juliette Lewis and Marina Diamandis at the muso bash, which honoured a host of bands and artists

Spangly: Actress and singer Juliette Lewis wore some arresting trousers on the red carpet

Other guests on the red carpet ready to swill beer included Mark Ronson and fiancée Josephine De La Baume, Pulp frontman Jarvis Cocker and Primal Scream frontman Bobby Gillespie.

Chemical Romance were the most celebrated band on the night, landing two awards - Best International Band and Best Video for ‘Na Na Na'.

The New Jersey rockers also opened the ceremony, hosted by Shooting Stars character Angelos Epithemiou.

Roll up: Guests queue to get into the venue for the NME Awards

Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl meanwhile was bestowed the Godlike Genius Award - the first time the gong has gone to an American rather than a British musician.

Muse - fronted by Kate Hudon's boyfriend Matt Bellamy - landed Best British Band, Best British Female Solo Artist Brit winner Laura Marling was named Best Solo Artist and Biffy Clyro landed Best Live Band.

Other winners on the night included Hurts. who landed Best New Band, PJ Harvey who won the Contribution To Music award and Arcade Fire who won Best Album, as it did at The Brits, for The Suburbs.

Glastonbury won Best Festival for the third year in a row and Channel 4’s Skins was awarded the Best TV Show for the first time.

Star billing: Justin was a guest instead on The Ellen DeGeneres Show yesterday rather than braving breezy Brixton

See ya: Bieber didn't care about his NME Awards either when he appeared on U.S. chat show The Talk yesterday

Justin meanwhile was ignoring the ignominy of landing the two unwanted awards by busying himself in the U.S.

As well as appearing on Ellen and The Talk as a guest, he's been in the studio with Kanye West.

The rap star posted pictures up on his Twitter page of him giving lessons to his young charge on how to operate a studio.

Underneath the picture, he wrote: 'My new beat protege.'

The pair had been spotted shaking hands at the 2011 NBA All-Star Game over the weekend. If a collaboration is the works, the NME may have to choose a new hate figure for next year's gongs...
